What is the purpose of life?
Psalm 39 : 4–5, the Bible says, ” Show me, Lord my life end and the number of my days, let me know how fleeting my life is.
You have my days a mere handbreadth, the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure.
Psalm 90: 10-12
” Our day may come to seventy years, or eighty if our strength endures. Yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for he quickly pass and we fly away.
If only we know the power of yours anger! Yours wrath is as great as the fear that is your due.
Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Assume that According to the Bible, average life span is 70 years. Which equal to 25,550 days.
60 years is 21.900 days
50 years is 18, 200 days
40 years is 14, 600 days
30 days is 12, 775 days
Deduct your age from 25,550 days….
How much do you have and how do you want to spend the rest of your life?
What are you going to do with the remaining days of your life… Answer is in Hebrew 11:39 ..” These were all commended for their faith; yet none of them received what had been promised ‘
Who are those fox?
Hebrew 11: 32-38
32 “And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets—
33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.
35 Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life.
36 Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment.
37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two,[a] they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated—
38 of whom the world was not worthy—wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. ”
Let ‘s step by faith and do something for God… Let’s attempt to do something great for God…
These people in Hebrew 11 were not perfect, they have theirs flaws and weaknesses, still despite their flaws and weaknesses they did something for God.
What will be remembered for? We have a debt to pay to our societies..
Are you paying your debt? Remember, we don’t have time forever, each day which passes pushes us to our graves….We are dying daily, we will never have a perfect time to do something for God. Even if you have 80 years, will you be strong enough to carry and fulfill your life assignment?
Be wise…,what will you be remembered for? Are you fulfilling your divine mission on earth? Or still waiting for a perfect time?
May God help us.
