And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let's put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. [Romans 13: 11-12]

5 Excellent Reasons Why the Reward System Can Be Healthy for Your Child

5-Excellent-Reasons-Why-the-Reward-System-Can-Be-Healthy-for-Your-Child

Do you implement the reward system in your household? This is the principle of giving rewards to your children whenever they do something good or when their behavior is in line with our principles. Being a Christian based school, we highly advocate for children to grow up well-behaved and of good repute. You, as their beloved parents, can do a lot in training them towards the straight path.

Consider these reasons and benefits of implementing a reward system for your children:

  1. Their show of good behavior is encouraged

When you positively affirm your child’s good behavior, they are bound to repeat the same acts. This is a human response when we receive praise on our actions. We gain confidence about the action; hence, we can trust that the children are inclined to repeat the good behavior when you reward them for it.

  2. You help them develop good habits

Establishing good habits at home can be a bit challenging especially at the beginning stages. However, giving rewards each time the habit is followed can help your child develop the habit positively. For instance, if you want to train them to sleep before 8 pm on weeknights, giving them a weekend reward when they’ve followed through can encourage them to maintain this as a habit.

  3. A happy environment is nurtured

Each time you reward a good behavior, and as your child is bound to repeat a rewarded behavior, you’re also slowly nurturing an atmosphere that is happy and pleasant. You’re helping them to nurture a positive perspective in what they do at home.

  4. There is a reinforcement of their good behavior

As a child grows up, they tend to pick up the habits and behaviors that have been influenced around them. When you keep on rewarding the good behavior, they will feel reinforced and will be inclined to make positive choices every time.

  5. Parents can help determine attitudes that need further assistance

Sometimes, children don’t follow our instructions simply because they don’t get it very well. The reward system can help parents to evaluate if their children misunderstood them or they were just willful in their disobedience.

At My Excellency Complex, we work towards building up a good foundation of the children we’re sponsoring, not only when it comes to their academic life, but also with their life as a whole. We believe that sponsoring them towards better education is not enough when the children don’t have positive character traits.

As we strive to promote academic excellence in Illinois, we partner with like-minded individuals and personalities to help nurture good qualities among our beneficiaries along with building up their educational achievements. Our team is open for your participation and donation in every form.
